Like strawberries, you should not also use this too frequently, as this can damage your teeth over time. Mixing it with toothpaste is the best way to use this natural whitener.  Using wood ash with toothpaste may help you use it easily and effectivly. 

While most home remedies for whitening teeth are safe and effective,  it is still imperative that you take extra precaution when using any of these. Make sure that you only use these remedies on an occasional basis. Using them too frequently may damage teeth over time. Moreover, it is necessary that you protect your gums during the process and that you rinse your mouth thoroughly after. If none of these works for you or if you are not satisfied with the results, you can also try over-the-counter teeth whitening products such as whitening toothpastes, whitening trays, or whitening gels.
