You may be surprised at all the options available for cleaning and whitening your teeth. But since we are cost conscious, a lot of these choices involve using common household items. Even with that approach, there are a number of methods using different ingredients. Even still, you have the ability to use the products in different ways. So, the best way for you to clean and brighten your teeth would be to find a system that you like that is also very safe for you as well. You should also be aware that some methods use ingredients that contain natural acids. So that means you have to be careful that you rinse properly after using. Avoid overuse so you do not damage the enamel on your teeth.

It’s a simple fact that some people’s teeth are naturally whiter than others. When it comes to our teeth and many other characteristics, we’re stuck with some of the natural tendencies that we were born with. As desirable as white teeth may be, the fact is, this isn’t a look most of us have naturally. Of course, during the course of our lives the color of our teeth will change due to all the food and drink we consume, and perhaps other habits such as smoking. That’s why many people get their teeth bleached by their dentist or seek homemade remedies to do this. Hydrogen peroxide is a favorite solution used to bleach teeth. Some people merely rinse their mouth with it after brushing, and that will help to keep them whiter. But you do not want to use it often as it can erode tooth enamel, plus it can kill beneficial bacteria that is normally present in your mouth.

Dentists utilize plenty of bleaching procedures that need products that have hydrogen peroxide in them. Also, a lot of people use it for their own teeth whitening methods. But you should use your brain and be cautious when using it. Avoid using it in excess to whiten your teeth as it can damage the enamel on your teeth. If enamel damage occurs, understand that it is permanent. If you lose too much of your enamel, your teeth will have a permanent yellow color. We highly stress that pregnant women or those who are nursing a child should never use hydrogen peroxide to brighten their teeth.

Continuing with another approach using baking soda, and this is something I have used on occasion, is to simply brush using baking soda and water. Just put some baking soda in your palm and dip your wet toothbrush into it. Although you now brush as you always do, be wary of the pressure applied to your teeth, Baking soda has coarse and abrasive properties. So you do not want to scratch up the enamel that is on your teeth. Anytime you use a harsh substance on your teeth, be cautious. Apple cider vinegar has extra cleaning qualities if used after your regular cleaning. It is a good idea to think about what you want to use to whiten your teeth. Might be a good idea to consult your physician regarding any allergies you may have. These homemade whitening solutions are not meant for daily use. By not maintaining your teeth, you could be causing problems that could have been avoided.
